WELCOME TO OUR DRAMA PRAISE AND WORSHIP PAGE FOR THE 2024 SCHOOL YEAR

Black Heritage Program Date: February 24th

K3-K5 Program: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

1st – 7th Grade Program: 11:00 a.m.

K3-K5 Program: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

K3: They will be learning 2 songs and one poem.

K3-K5 will do a dance to “Keep your eyes on the Prize” ( Wear Black Shirts and Black pants)

K4-K5 -Will do 3 songs and 2 Poems and their Black history Presentation (See Attachment)

(Please Note: K5 will wear a black shirt and black Skinny pants for the closing song, therefore, they need to wear a black shirt and black pants under the clothing that they will wear to represent there person).

1st – 7th Graders Program: 11:00

4th – 7th Grade girls will be doing a Dramatized poem entitled “PHENOMENAL WOMAN”

Girls Attire: Please over Emphasize dress as “Little Women.” Please allow them to wear a pretty  dress, jewelry, purse, church hat, gloves and shoes with heels. (I have the hats and fans)

2nd – 7th Grade Girls will be doing a dance to “Just a Little more Jesus”

Girls Attire: Dance Dress, church hat and a fan. (The same hat can be used for this dance)

Boys Attire 1st – 7th Grade Boys will wear: Black shirts and Black pants.

2nd – 7th Grade Drama Assignment (ALL students in grades 2nd thru 7th are required to complete this assignment as part of their Drama grade.

Each 2nd  – 7th  grade child has to choose an African American who changed history. They must dress the part (dress like the person) and dramatize(act out) what the person did to change History.

Their verbal dramatization must include:

The person’s name, how old they are, what they did and when they did it. They must also tell how knowing what this person has done/achieved affects them personally.
